Did the press overdose on AIDS issues in Bangkok, and now has moved to other topics? World AIDS Day is hardly a month away, yet according to Google News, "World AIDS Day" has only been mentioned in the press 18 times this past week. As a point of comparison, "global warming" has been mentioned 1300 times this week. "Presidential election" was mentioned 2400 times -- just today. It's been 100 days since Bangkok finished -- which is to say 850,000 more people have died of AIDS since then. Yet for a combination of reasons, the press seems to have fallen silent.
