AIDS Matters is a Web resource for global AIDS professionals. The goal of the site is to highlight key policy issues and new resources relevant to the global fight against HIV / AIDS. The site pays particular attention to communications and information technology issues: AIDS is a fast-moving, global scourge that demands unprecedented levels of global coordination. Unfortunately, past strategies for global communications -- multilaterals, refereed journals, periodic international conferences -- simply don't move as fast as the epidemic. AIDS Matters seeks to be one piece of an enhanced "information infrastructure" supporting AIDS professionals. [Back to home].

Jim,

I have been following your webpage on Global AIDS Monitoring and Eveluation. M&E IS a very fundamental issue now that there is significant funding available.

Some nations in Africa, Botswana, Uganda, are now success stories.

I'm a practising physician with interest in hiv/aids management.

I am inquiring whether you could be aware of graduate/diploma programs being offered which tacles the cardinal area of M&E.

I am not aware of M&E graduate or diploma programs, although I do know that the World Bank, US CDC and other groups provide training programs. I'd keep an eye on the World Bank Institute http://www.worldbank.org/wbi as a good first stop.
